The Chamfer Plane

For easy, repeatable chamfers this plane can't be beat. Set the adjustable fence to the width of the required chamfer and start planing - it stops cutting when the profile is complete. Works on end grain as well as long grain, cutting chamfers up to 12mm wide. Watch the video to see it in action.

Made from quartersawn Beech with a high carbon steel iron.
